# Cancel a purchase

EU and UK consumers can use Link’s 14-day cooling-off process. This page explains how to send a withdrawal notice and where an unresolved consumer complaint can go.

Effective and last updated: August 12, 2026

## Use the cooling-off period

Paid Cactus orders are Sold through Link. Under [Link’s current consumer terms](https://stripe.com/legal/consumer), EU and UK consumers may cancel during the 14 days after receiving access to Cactus, without giving a reason.

Open [Link Order Support](https://support.link.com/topics/sold-through-link), identify the Cactus order, request a refund, and state **“cooling off period”**. Send the request before the 14-day period ends and keep Link’s confirmation. Link processes the cancellation and refund for the order.

## Withdrawal notice

If Link’s form is unavailable, send an unambiguous notice to [support@usecactus.app](mailto:support@usecactus.app?subject=Cactus%20withdrawal%20notice&body=I%20give%20notice%20that%20I%20withdraw%20from%20my%20order%20for%20Cactus.%0D%0A%0D%0AName%3A%0D%0AEmail%20used%20at%20checkout%3A%0D%0AStripe%20or%20Link%20receipt%20number%3A%0D%0AOrder%20date%3A%0D%0ADate%20access%20was%20received%3A%0D%0ADate%20of%20this%20notice%3A) before the period expires. The notice only needs to state clearly that you withdraw; a reason and signature are not required. If available, add:

- your name and the email used at checkout;
- the Stripe or Link receipt number;
- the order date and the date you received access; and
- the date you send the notice.

Your notice is on time if you send it before the cooling-off period expires. Keep a copy of the sent message as evidence; use Link Order Support whenever available for confirmation and order handling.

## Product complaints and disputes

For a fault, delivery problem, or product complaint, first email [support@usecactus.app](mailto:support@usecactus.app). For an order, payment, or refund problem, you can also use [Link Order Support](https://support.link.com/topics/sold-through-link), which provides support for Sold through Link orders.

If a consumer complaint remains unresolved, an eligible dispute may be submitted to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, [Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN)](https://www.arn.se/om-arn/Languages/english-what-is-arn/), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, Sweden. ARN normally requires claims in its Electronics or General departments to exceed 750 SEK and to arrive within one year of the first complaint to the business. It may review a lower-value claim in special circumstances.

Consumers elsewhere in the EEA can use the [European Commission’s dispute-resolution directory](https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies) to find a competent out-of-court body, usually in the trader’s country. If Cactus rejects a consumer claim, the written response will identify the applicable body and state whether Cactus intends to participate in that procedure.

## After cancellation

After a successful cancellation and full refund, the paid license ends and future activation and recovery stop. Cactus stores an activation locally, so a refund does not remotely disable a copy already activated on a Mac; remove it from the Cactus menu during an access window. Cooling-off rights do not replace any rights you have when Cactus is faulty, unavailable, or materially different from its description.
